An experienced tutor, teacher and examiner of A Level Biology.

Availability: Monday evenings, Wednesday afternoons

Experience: I have over 16 years experience tutoring and teaching A Level Biology in school and sixth form, in addition to over 15 years as an examiner for A Level Biology. I am currently employed part time at a highly regarded sixth form college and carry out private tuition alongside this from my home office and online.
I can inspire students of all levels to believe in their goals and aspirations and support their exceptional progress. I have supported many of the highest achievers in their journeys to obtaining A* grades and progressing to medicine, veterinary science and Oxbridge. I have also worked with students needing extra support in understanding the basic concepts, improving skills and exam technique required to improve their grades. I am able to form excellent working relationships with my students, encouraging resilience and passing on my enthusiasm and love of the living world.
Sessions are targeted to the tutees particular needs as identified by diagnostic assessments. I use a variety of activities to work on any weaknesses including interactive quizzes, animations, exam question practice and study of marking schemes to improve exam technique. I can also work to improve study skills where necessary, such as improving organisational skills or helping with revision techniques.
