I am a qualified secondary English teacher with experience teaching KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature in London academies.

I specialise in helping students develop clear, confident analytical writing and strong exam technique. My approach is calm, structured, and focused on measurable progress, particularly in areas such as essay writing, language analysis, and structuring responses.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student, ensuring they feel supported while also being appropriately challenged.

I also tutor with a national education charity, supporting students in building core reading and writing skills.

Outside the classroom, I have spoken publicly about teaching and lifelong learning, with media appearances on BBC Radio, The Guardian, Metro and Asian Voice.

Experience: I completed my teacher training at Kingston University and have taught GCSE English Language and Literature in several London Academies. Working across KS3 and KS4, I have supported students of all abilities, from those who lack confidence to high achievers aiming for top grades. My teaching centres on strengthening AO2 analytical skills, developing clear essay structures, and building the exam techniques students need to succeed.

Alongside school-based teaching, I tutor with the charity Action Tutoring, providing targeted support for students who require additional help to close learning gaps. This work has deepened my understanding of how to build confidence in learners who feel overwhelmed by English, and how to guide them towards steady, measurable progress.

These combined experiences have shaped a calm and structured teaching style that helps students focus, think more clearly, and grow into capable and independent writers.
