I am a qualified secondary school English teacher and an experienced English tutor, DBS checked, with a First in Law, and over 10 years of mentoring and education support experience. I tutor KS3 & KS4, GCSE Language and Literature, and offer a calm, encouraging approach

I am also a tutor with the charity, Action Tutoring, supporting students in Academy schools.

Experience: I completed my teacher training at Kingston University and have since gained experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature in academies in London. Specialising in KS3 and KS4, I have worked with students of varying abilities, helping them improve essential skills like essay writing, critical analysis, and exam techniques.

In addition to my school-based teaching, I also volunteer with Action Tutoring, where I provide online tutoring for underachieving students. This experience has allowed me to support students who need additional help to catch up, enabling them to improve their academic performance and boost their confidence.

I have a calm and kind approach to teaching, ensuring a supportive and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable and encouraged. I tailor my methods to each individual, adapting my lessons to suit their learning style and specific needs, whether it’s improving comprehension, essay structure, or exam strategies.
