I am a fully registered teacher with over 25 years teaching experience in the primary sector, including supporting children with specific learning difficulties.


My aim is to give your child tuition that is tailored to his or her own needs in a friendly and supportive environment. I tutor pupils from Primary through to National 5 in all areas of learning, especially maths, english and study skills for independent learning. I can help younger pupils with basics and support older pupils in secondary school with homework, projects and studying for exams. Everyone recognises that a classroom is a busy place and the best teachers find there is limited time to spend on one-to-one interaction with each child. I am able to provide that extra support for your child.

Availability: Weekday evenings during term time.
Summer holiday "catch up / keep up" sessions are very flexible - week days or evenings. (Many people prefer the flexibility of holiday sessions, as a longer term commitment is not necessary.)

£25 per hour for tutoring in my home, where there is a comfy room for parents to wait with a cup of tea if you wish, or feel welcome to watch or join in.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I currently work as a primary teacher and have successfully tutored many pupils up to S6 in Nat 5 Maths and English, helping them secure the grades they had hoped for. I am a mum of four children, most of whom have finished secondary school, and I fully appreciate how every child is unique!
