I am a DBS-checked science tutor with chemistry teacher training through GITEP and the University of Bristol (deferred to peruse tutoring full-time, and study learning for learning fulltime)

Since 2024 I have had experience supporting students from Year 7 to Year 12. I previously worked as a lead data engineer at Pfizer and have references as a full time classroom science teacher - personally I really enjoy linking science, and the psychology of learning to real-world applications and help students see why what they learn matters.

I specialise in GCSE Chemistry and KS3 Science, and I also support A level Chemistry and A level Biology. My lessons are calm, structured, and exam-focused, with clear explanations, worked examples, and regular checks for understanding. I am currently tutoring IGCSE EdExcel also.

Having been tutored myself from D grades to A grades while managing ADHD, I understand how important the right support, routines, and teaching style can be. I build SEN-aware lessons and connect well with students who struggle with focus, confidence, or organisation. I also use puzzles, visual models, and curiosity-based starters to make learning more engaging and to develop flexible thinking.

My background includes a BSc in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Kent, where my thesis focused on interpretable machine learning and AI. I also founded the Kent DJ and Music Production Society and the Kent Esports Society.

Availability: I offer online tuition across the week, with some evening and Saturday sessions available. I also offer selected in-person tuition in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud. I support KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A level students. Please get in touch to check current availability.
