Information about Victoria
I am a qualified Primary teacher who currently teaches in an Ipswich school. I love working both one to one and with small groups. I have a genuine commitment to helping my pupils to be the best they can be! I create a positive learning environment in which pupils feels happy, secure, valued and motivated to learn.
I prefer to adopt a facilitator role as this encourages self-learning. In this style, activities are used to promote self-discovery and develop problem-solving skills, which can often lead to the pupil developing a much deeper understanding of the topic. I am passionate about teaching and learning and I can guarantee that my enthusiasm is infectious! I believe that the most important tool I can give pupils is the confidence to succeed.
Working with children has always been my dream job. Redesigning my schools history and geography curriculum has allowed me to develop my own skills. As a teacher training mentor, I have enjoyed coaching others, developing my own professional expertise and leading strategic discussions.
