I have been teaching for six years and I am currently the Deputy Head of Science and Technology at a successful secondary school in Caerphilly. I have vast experience of teaching all three of the Science disciplines at GCSE and experience of teaching Biology at A-Level.

I communicate with learners to identify misconceptions and misunderstandings through the use of questioning. I successfully use modelling to explain a scientific concept which deepens learners understanding and addresses any misconceptions. For the learners to succeed and achieve their desired grade, a deeper understanding of scientific concepts is vital for them to be able to apply their knowledge to challenging exam questions and to link ideas between topics. I use diagnostic questions and past paper questions to evaluate learners progress and to improve confidence through practise.

Availability: I am available Monday to Wednesday in the evenings.
