I have a very patient and encouraging nature, and am known for building learners confidence levels in addition to engaging people with the subject.

I cover all areas of the Maths syllabus from primary to grade 9 GCSE or level 3 in Functional Skills Numeracy, (which can be required as equivalency tests for entry to degree level courses).
I work with pupils at an appropriate pace on each topic scaffolding their learning to enable them to complete exam style questions at their optimum level.

I have a full DBS check, am a non smoker and am extremely organised and flexible to work with people each week, each month or term time only.

For distance learning I am able to work online via Zoom and provide hands on resources to compliment the learning.

I tailor resources and delivery to suit all learning styles and most special educational needs. 1:1 learning is money well spent, gaining confidence, accuracy and speed in maths is priceless.

Experience: I have over 20yrs experience of working with ‘harder to reach’ individuals, on a 1:1 basis and in large groups in various surroundings with a variance of resources to hand.

I have worked within a Youth Work and Adult Education settings, delivering Functional Skills Numeracy for over 15 years and currently hold various part time contracts for delivering GCSE Maths in high schools, pupil referral units and functional skills numeracy in prisons.
