I tutor English Literature, English language and English as a second language.
Having graduated from Cambridge with a BA Honours Degree in English, I pursued tutoring. This is because I enjoy interacting with, and imparting knowledge to, young people. I strongly believe that students can release another aspect of their potential when given the opportunity.
My tutoring approach is simple: the student tells me their struggles, we go through the learning styles and determine the best approach.

Excellent tutor…. Very patient and would focus the lesson on whatever my daughter wanted to cover. Her predicted grades were very average. Under the excellent tuition of Penge she achieved a 9 in English literature and a 7 in English language! English is not her strong point, and she was delighted with these grades!

My daughter achieved grade 9 in English Lit after 5 sessions with Penge a few months back! Her last mock grade was 7, and her hope was grade 8. The result is more than we expected, my daughter is absolutely over the moon. Penge`s tutoring was essential to her improvement. I did not sit through lessons, so do not know details of tutoring but the feedback he gave is very detailed. My daughter said Penge`s tutoring is very precise so she understood what to do to achieve marks. We can`t thank Penge enough! High recommended!

Penge helped my son with his GCSE English and gave him good exam tips, which boosted his confidence to do well in the exams. This is reflected in his recently high exam scores. He also provided flexibility for periods when circumstances did not allow my son to attend a lesson. Likewise, we were also very flexible in accommodating his changes, which led to minimal stress overall for everyone. Thank you!
