Hello, I am Dr Andrew, a specialist full-time Chemistry tutor and graduate in Chemistry from both Oxford and Cambridge universities. I have helped over 100 students improve their test scores and confidence at A-level, International A-level and GCSE/iGCSE, including many who needed the top grades for their university course or further study.

I offer friendly, insightful support to students who need it for the whole of the academic year in addition to those who are preparing for exams, resits or university interviews.

I adopt a flexible approach and work with the student to identify where they need support, focusing on key areas where they can make the biggest improvements. I keep things friendly and show students how to apply what they know, building their confidence as they progress.

Some of my students have missed lessons at school, some like to go back over topics in greater depth, and some need guidance on the right approach to reaching the top grades. If any of those apply to you, I can help!

Availability: After school and most evenings or weekends. I am also available during the daytime to tutor A-level students or International students.

Experience: I have tutored students across the UK and internationally for over six years, including over a thousand hours of online tuition. I have several students each year who are resitting A-level Chemistry who need to improve their independent study skills, depth of knowledge, and exam technique beyond what they achieved at school. I have developed and curated resources specifically to help them. I taught undergraduates at Cambridge for two years during my PhD and have prepared students for interview to study Chemistry at university.

I also have experience as an examiner from when I worked for Cambridge Assessments as an examiner for the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) for two exam seasons.
