Information about Anna
I am a private chemistry tutor based in West Kensington, London. I have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, and I will be happy to help you with all your chemistry needs. I have extensive experience in tutoring students in chemistry from top secondary schools and universities in the UK. My former students went on to attend most prestigious universities on both sides of the Atlantic, such as Oxbridge, Imperial, Harvard, Columbia and so on. In addition to the UK curriculum, I also offer tuition in IB chemistry and AP chemistry, as well as preparation for SAT chemistry exam.
I offer tuition in the following subjects:
-Chemistry: GCSE, A-Level, IB, University foundation year, University organic chemistry
Syllabus: AQA, CIE, Edexcel, OCR
I offer tuition at my house or online.
I have been tutoring online for a number of years, teaching both secondary school/high school and university students from all over the world. There is no need to go anywhere and all the student needs is a laptop. For lessons I use digital whiteboard, where both student and I can write. The digital white board is saved and the student can access it anytime. This creates a record of every session which can then be used later for revision.

Experience: I started teaching chemistry to undergraduate students while at graduate school at University of California, Santa Cruz about 15 years ago. I taught general and organic chemistry. After receiving my Ph.D., I worked as a research scientist for a startup company in Silicon Valley, California, working on cutting edge research in nanotechnology. I have been a full-time chemistry tutor for more than 5 years, teaching students on both sides of the Atlantic. I have tutored students in GCSE level chemistry, A-level chemistry, and college level chemistry. I am well familiar with the curriculum and stringent requirements of GCSE and A-level examinations.

Both I (as a parent) and my son (pre-u level chemistry) have been very impressed with Anna. Her lessons are challenging and useful for reviewing as well as introducing new material. Anna is an incredible tutor, she is always pushing me, however never fails to be patient when explaining concepts which I have not quite grasped. I feel lucky to have found a chemistry tutor like her as my grades and progress reflect on her teaching. I started out with a C grade and now am working at an A/A*. After beginning tutoring lessons, I found myself not only following the school`s schedule, but being slightly ahead of the class.
