I am a qualified primary school teacher from Southampton University, with over 10 years experience both within the UK and abroad. I have extensive experience with EAL children. I am trained in phonics and run weekly phonics classes from my home for children aged between 3-5. These sessions are sensory to the core, incorporating techniques to develop both the ability to read but also fine motor skills. Reading is fundamental in ensuring children can access the whole of the curriculum. Children make great progress as they enjoy and are completely engaged in the sessions. Parents often tell me how their children are now more in-tune with words and exploring the written language in the world around them and actively wanting to read. First session is always free.

Availability: I run weekly phonics class from home every Thursday at 4:15. i also tun holiday phonics and maths sessions.

Experience: 10 + years teaching primary children in both the UK and Malaysia which allowed me to develop as a a skilled practitioner with expertise in teaching EAL children. I have a PGCE from Southampton University, with specialised phonics training. My lesson observations have always been graded as outstanding. I also have a 4 year old and a 2 year old daughter who are often the first to try out my new ideas in our at home classroom and always give honest feedback!
