Since graduating in 2012 from LJMU with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Early Years, I have been tutoring students from age 7-16, helping them to build their confidence and ability in maths.

Although trained in Primary Education, I now teach in a local secondary school. Having crossed over from Primary to Secondary Education, I have a sound knowledge of the curriculum from EYFS through to KS4, which allows me to personalise learning to each of my students, knowing where they have come from in their knowledge of maths, and where they need to get to in order to succeed when sitting their GCSE exams, whether that be in the next year or two, or in several years time.

I have a fully disclosed DBS check and my own car, so I am willing to come to you. More than happy to meet with you prior to starting tutoring, to get to know you and your child, and to find out any areas of Maths the wish to gain confidence in.

Over the last couple of months, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, I have taken my tutoring to FaceTime or video call tutoring. This has proven to be very successful, still giving each of my students personalised sessions, exploring topics and questions they have, and approaching them from different perspectives posed by exam and other practice questions.

Experience: I am an qualified teacher having graduated from LJMU in 2012. During my time at university, I experienced working with and teaching children from age 4 to 11.
I have been tutoring since 2012 working with children to GCSE level.
Prior to university, I studied Maths to A-Level, achieving a grade A at GCSE, and grade C at A-Level.
