Qualified teacher, 1st class masters degree in physics University of Manchester, 5 years tutoring experience, A*A*A* at A level maths, physics, further maths. Boosted the ALPS score of a sixth form college maths department by 2 points in my first year of teaching.
3 step process to my tutoring
1.DIAGNOSE & PLAN
Students self-assess their current understanding, traffic-light the specification, identify patterns in their strengths and weaknesses, and leave with a structured roadmap prioritising the topics that will make the biggest impact. This includes Directed Independent Learning Actions (DILAs) to keep learning on track.
2. MASTER & REFINE
We tackle misconceptions head-on, build deep subject knowledge, and integrate exam technique so students can confidently solve even the most challenging questions.
3. PRACTICE & PERFECT
Through regular, targeted practice and DILAs, students gain the confidence, consistency, and fluency required to achieve A/A* results in exams.
