I am a motivated and enthusiastic qualified primary school teacher. I specialise in Modern Languages (Spanish), Maths and English. I am committed to making learning fun and engaging, and am known for my creative approach to teaching.

Aside from the more formal stuff, I am a keen swimmer, I love hiking and I can often be seen out exploring with my dogs!

Availability: I am available Monday to Sunday 9-8pm

Experience: I am a qualified teacher so have a wealth of teaching experience in many different key stages, and have taught in Upper Key Stage 2 for two years so have experience with AQE and GL exams. Before embarking upon my PGCE, I worked in mainstream and special schools as a classroom assistant, and I am a leader for my local brownies.
My approach to tutoring is to try and make it as fun and engaging as possible. I was tutored when I was younger and often found it quite intimidating and scary, so I try my hardest to create a positive learning atmosphere, where we can learn from our mistakes. I try to work with the tutee as much as possible to determine their strengths and weaknesses, and plan based upon these and their interests.

I am a big fan of learning outside of a formal classroom and try to create learning based upon experience as often as possible. I try to teach using real world examples and models, and can adapt teaching to the strengths and needs of a tutee fully.
