Hello!

I am an experienced History Teacher, having taught for over 12 years. I have expertise teaching high performing students, having began my career at the prestigious Holt School in Wokingham, teaching students History for over 6 years from KS3 to KS5. Many students went onto Oxbridge and other top universities.
Since then, I have had 6 years experience teaching SEN students at a MLD school, where students had learning needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome and global learning delay among others, which means I`ve also had experience of teaching P Levels, KS1 and KS2 as well. Gaining experience in two very different challenging school environments has improved my practice and also my differentiation skills, tailoring work to individual needs. I was Head of Humanities and Leader of Vocational Learning, so I have knowledge of the Geography curriculum too.
I now work as Head of History at Mary Hare School which is the largest school for the Deaf in the UK. I am very much enjoying teaching young people and hope to do this further by tutoring online (and hopefully in person one day too!)
