Information about Mark
Ex-headteacher of a large Pupil Referral Unit with 36+ years teaching experience. Now semi-retired delivering consultancy and training through national training organisations to teaching staff across the country. Married with 3 children - one a teacher, one in Guadeloupe teaching English and one going into 6th Form. Proud daddy to our new puppy Lexie.
Availability: Any days (and evenings/weekends) I am not training - very flexible.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: P.E. teacher to begin with but provided teaching in most subjects through my career both in schools and in alternative provision and in special education. As teacher in charge at a specialist unit in Knowsley I led the team that provided intensive one-to-one tuition and as headteacherI provided the same intensive support students who were unable to copeIn the lessons. Topics that I cover in training focus largely on mental health, building resilience, supporting nurturing and mentoring young people and motivational techniques. And I have another role as a non-executive director providing advice to a strategic data analytics team and another NED role as a member of the Formby High School Trust.
