Hello,

My name is Adnan, and I am passionate about teaching children of all ages and abilities - the wonder and beauty of Maths (no, really, it is!)

I have helped many great children down the years get to grips with the subject and, ultimately, prepare successfully for tests and those exams when they eventually arrive.

As a qualified secondary mathematics teacher, I have graduated with a bachelor`s degree in Mathematics B.Sc (Hons) from Queen Mary University with an M.Sc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Liverpool. I firmly believe the trick to becoming proficient at or good in Maths is in the teaching; it is not the child`s fault if the teaching is poor and/or doesn`t open the mind and help them "; get it"; enjoy it, and become confident at it.

This is my aim - to help kids believe in themselves with Maths and sail through. Few things please me more than when a child sees it and their confidence flourishes.

Experience: As mentioned my key strength is teaching and identifying student strengths and weaknesses through the use of AFL (Assessment for Learning); a skill that I have developed while teaching a diverse range of students from all backgrounds and abilities.

Key Features about my Teaching Background:
1. Over 11 years of private tuition experience, ranging from private in-home tuition, coupled with 5 years of experience teaching at a local tuition business.
2. Over 3 years of qualified secondary mathematics teaching at schools located in North & East London. I have taught and trained in co-educational schools as well as single-sex schools.
3. While training at a leading Harris Academy school in London, one of my key achievements include :

- Helping a low attaining student, go from a level 3 to achieving a level 5 in GCSE.
- Helping a student achieve the highest result in the Year 8 UKMaths Challenge in the borough.
- Helping a student achieve a Grade 9 from a Grade 6.
- Most Importantly my strong classroom presence has allowed me to discipline and help students develop a routine of positive attitude with 0 tolerance for poor behavior.
