Information about Matthew
Ive been interested for a long time to help people understand how solve problems effectively and find it rewarding when I can help them progress. One of my hobbies playing gamesi enjoyed teaching others to improve. This is now via youtube, it then became exciting to see others progress and play more challenging games allowing mutual improvement.
In 2016 I graduated from Portsmouth university with an upper second hons degree in Mathematics. My focus there was real world application instead of theoretical research. I left university very interested in teaching, but with a family based in commerce and business started my career in business. Being a financial analyst I help the company make important decisions that impact profitability such as stock, providing the salesforce with accurate information that impacts their commission and drives their behaviour.
It was not a mistake by any means, I have really understood what business needs to operate effectively at many levels. I have a good understanding on the value that mathematics and technology deliver to business. In this company a significant number of peoples jobs relies on mathematics helping remove risk from stock inventory, predicting trends and motivating the sales engine.
But with all that said, it is not satisfying, and not what I see my career to be. I have a good academic background and now a solid industry grounding and want to use to enable others to reach their full potential.

Experience: As I completed my studies at A-level and attaining my Maths degree this enthusiasm to help people succeed evolved.
With my peers in study groups we actively push one-another forward,
I had friends studying non-mathematic degrees, needing to improve their maths. With these I found it easy to help them along and allow them to gain confidence.
The third cohort started from my large extended family, where much younger people were struggling with maths.
So I started formally tutoring this group and recommendations.
I found I had a natural ability to communicate at their level and be able to help the people achieve results at basic or more advanced levels.
I have a natural talent in logic and analysis this leads to my sound understanding in maths, science and computing. Due to this I find these subjects simpler to explain in a well understood manner.
