Information about Maziyah
My name is Maziyah and I`m 26 years old. I am a junior doctor working part time.
I`m passionate about science and maths and I enjoy teaching others.
I am a qualified doctor having studied at The University of Nottingham and have completed my foundation training. I have A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and Psychology at AS Level. I have a GCSE in English and Regents Examinations in several subjects, all at 80%+. This is because I have studied in America prior to my A Levels.
I am interested in a varied range of activities, including rowing, volleyball and playing the violin in an orchestra. I also love doing art and reading in my leisure time. In addition, I have enjoyed martial arts from a young age and hold black belts in two different styles.
Availability: Flexible
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have tutored young students for several years. Outside of academics I often teach martial arts to students of many ages and of different levels. I believe this and my friendly and enthusiastic personality make me well suited and prepared to tutor a diverse range of students.
I have an informal and fun approach to tutoring. I donât recite facts or teach from a book. I try to get students to identify their weakest areas, set targets and concentrate on these. Strategising for exams is another focus of mine which I feel can make a big difference. When teaching I am always encouraging and very open to questions. I aim to get students interested and have more fun when learning about their subjects. With this approach I can tailor my sessions in ways which will benefit them the most.
