Information about Kerry
I have spent the entirety of my working life within schools and I am passionate about teaching. After having my first child I took the decision to focus on their development rather than returning to full time employment. I have recently just had my second child and I have found tutoring affords me the flexibility I need with the same reward of teaching students in more formal settings.
I am creative with my teaching methods and like to use hands on demonstrations and relatable analogies where possible to help my students understand the subject.
I have a wealth of quality resources which I have created and collected over the years to enable your child to gain much needed practice of concepts taught.
Availability: I have availability over the summer holidays for chemistry booster sessions suitable for GCSE transitioning to A Level, and Y12 moving into Y13.
I can cater for individual or group tutoring requirements.

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher with over 15 years experience. I have worked in mainstream secondary schools and 2 London A level Sixth Form colleges. I am a specialist A Level Chemistry teacher.
I have also moderated and examined for all three of the major exam boards (OCR, Edexcel and AQA) which has helped me to develop strong strategies to coach students for exam technique.

Kerry is tutoring my daughter for Chemistry `A` Level. Even after a few sessions my daughter`s understanding of the subject has improved exponentially, her confidence is starting to come back and she is beginning to enjoy the subject again. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kerry to other `A` Level students

We decided to search for a Chemistry tutor after our daughter had a shaky start to A-level chemistry which really knocked her confidence. Seven months later, her confidence has skyrocketed and she couldn’t have been in a better position for heading into her exams. She has enjoyed every session with Kerry and importantly had some laughs along the way. Kerry has been, reliable, professional and flexible. Her tutoring skills are exceptional and she has methodically guided Ella through a huge amount of content in a relatively short timeframe. We couldn’t reccommed her more.

Kerry is very reliable and helpful tutor. She is very patient and motivate my son a lot. She set homework and make sure my son finished them before the next lesson so that she can mark and discuss those mistakes during the following lesson. Highly recommended!
