I am an experienced teacher who is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and has more than 10 years` experience teaching English in China and France. I lived in China and Taiwan for 11 years, passing the top level of the HSK Mandarin test (set by the Confucius Institute) in 2011. As someone who has studied Mandarin to fluency in speaking, writing and reading, I understand how to master pronunciation and learn thousands of characters. My wife is Chinese and I normally speak Chinese at home as we are raising our son to be bilingual.

Availability: Weekdays during the day (particularly Thursdays and Fridays) plus evenings.

Experience: As a qualified English teacher, I have taught in a high school in China, on a pre-master`s course for the Northern Consortium of UK universities in China, as well as at the University of Surrey. I also worked as a consultant for the British Council in China for five years. While teaching English in Beijing and Sichuan, I helped thousands of students to improve their speaking and writing to prepare for studying abroad.
