I am a dedicated teacher full of ideas for the development of my students. I am passionate about my teaching and will put a lot into the preparation of the ideal lesson.

As a learner myself ( I am studying Italian at Intermediate level) I bring my own experiences as a student to my teaching.

My two children were educated locally and I understand every stage of the learning journey.

Availability: I can teach in the evenings (after 4.30 depending on the location) and on Saturdays.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have taught in primary schools for nearly thirty years and have also worked at a private international school in Italy. As a class teacher, I have taught pupils right across the ability range and can support children to achieve their full potential regardless of the initial starting point.
I have considerable experience as a tutor having supported children working towards Key Stage 2 SATs and Common Entrance Examinations as well as developing the skills of Key Stage 3 pupils who need extra support in English.
I am qualified to teach English to adults as I have a CELTA qualification (the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adults).
