I am a graduate of the University of Oxford, having studied multiple languages including Latin, Ancient Greek and Arabic as well as linguistics during my undergraduate degree. I grew up bilingual in French and Italian and also speak English to native-speaker level. I only arrived in the UK when I was 17 but people never realise I`m not a native speaker until I tell them. The method I developed to learn English to a high level is the very method I now teach, with an outstanding record of success.

My method is based on an innovative approach that draws from my extensive experience in lingusitics, language learning, and also music studies. I emphasise the importance of a strong relationship between the language and the student that is developed through homework completed between the lessons and thorough contact hours. My teaching aims to make sure you will remember how to construct or pronounce your chosen language correctly when you need it. It is challenging but in my experience extremely satisfying. I also have a track record of helping people dramatically improve their accent, thanks to my use of phonology and mouth physiology to understand pronunciation.

Besides this, I am passionate about literature, the arts, music, and the sciences, and always truly enjoy selecting material that will make both the students and myself enthusiastic. Regarding ancient languages, I love Latin and Ancient Greek. I have been reading Latin and studying its grammar for more than a decade. I also studied the history of the Ancient Greek language from the earliest available texts, dating from 1200 BCE, which was incredibly inspiring.

Finally, my prices include both the lesson and the homework and summaries, not just the contact time. I spend hours choosing and creating homework for students, finding the best videos among online archives, reading through poems and stories, and correcting the homework. I also often slip beyond an hour during the meetings, and we can negotiate if you want something different. I will send you bespoke homework and lesson summaries usually around once a week (depending on how often we meet), but of course you don`t have to do them if you don`t have time. Although if you are ready to commit, I can almost guarantee you will be satisfied with the results.
