I am an experienced tutor with a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford (2017). I teach fun, relaxed online classes in GCSE or A-Level French and English Literature, as well as conversational French and English for adults. Having lived in France for two years, I am a fluent French speaker and particularly enjoy sharing my love of the French language with learners!

In both English and French, I base my teaching around a strong element of discussion, whether that be of an extract of text, an article, or a comprehension exercice. This helps my students take ownership of their ideas and build the confidence they need to express them. In-class discussions are reinforced by detailed take-home worksheets that help students recap on the issues considered and provide them with resources they can return to when it comes to revision time. I’ll always start my courses with a relaxed discussion to identify the areas my student most wants to improve on and the blind spots they feel are holding back their confidence.

- 2 years of experience as a tutor of A-Level English Literature and AS Level French. I helped my Year 13 Tutees achieve an overall A grade out of a predicted B grade.
- Texts taught: Spies by Michael Frayn, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, War Poetry, Shakespeare
- 3 years of experience teaching conversational English and French to non-native speakers.
