Information about Aisling

My name is Aisling and I am a Primary School teacher based in North Liverpool.
I moved over to Liverpool from Northern Ireland to complete my University degree BA QTS (Bachelor of Arts with Qualified Teaching Status) and have lived here for 6 years. Whilst at University my teaching was graded as "Outstanding` and I finished my degree with an Upper Second Class Degree (2:1).

As a tutor, I have helped children succeed at participating in entrance exams for schools such as Blue-coat, I have supported SAT`s, phonics screening and many other tutoring requests.

As a teacher, I have a passion for helping children of all abilities. I am approachable and open minded and will strive to support any child in my care.

I have worked with families in Liverpool for over a year now and I have been able to create a good reputation for myself as a tutor. I have received great feedback and parents are happy with the progression that their children make.

Availability: I am available in the evening times, Monday-Friday as I teach in my school during the day time. I usually am available from 5/6 in the evening, except for Wednesdays which could be 7p.m. onwards). I am free on Saturday mornings and afternoons and all day Sunday.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: My experience to date:
Blue-coat entrance exam prep
Entrance exam preparation in Liverpool
Phonics screening preparation
General one to one support for Maths and English at Primary level.
Four years of teacher training at Liverpool Hope University with Outstanding lesson observations.
Supported Year 6 SAT`s
Worked in many Primary Schools across Liverpool

I have had the experience of teaching in all year groups and key stages across the North West of Liverpool. From having experience teaching in Year 2, I am aware of the importance of the SAT`s to which I helped prepare my class for.
From January 2019 I job-shared teaching a Year 3 class. This year I am teaching Year 5 and am helping out in other classrooms across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and 2.
As a tutor, I have had experience preparing children for entrance exams such as Blue-coat ad Liverpool College, I have taught children in Year 6 ahead of SAT`s and have worked with children in lower year groups helping them develop their confidence in Maths and English.
In my tutoring sessions I help pupils find the easiest solution in Mathematics, where they may find this hard in school; I have a vast bank of resources and creative approaches to help all children learn in ways that best suit their individual learning needs. I help with reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation in English so that pupils feel more confident in their own creative ideas and learning. I help to motivate pupils to develop a `love of learning` through my creativity and passion of teaching. I am dedicated to enhancing children’s learning and determined to support them in reaching their goals.
I have a caring and gentle nature and I feel that my enthusiasm around children allows me to quickly build a positive relationship with them.
