I`m Josephine, and I`m a 27-year old PhD student at UCL. I completed my Masters degree with I got an excellent distinction for my dissertation and various other projects. I have a BA Hons. degree in English/History, in which I graduated with the highest first in my history cohort and with exceptional feedback. Before my PhD, I worked full-time in policy research.

I have over five years` experience tutoring students of all ages, with a particular specialism in GCSE/A-level/degree English and History. My current research background is History and Politics. (Full teaching stages: 11+, KS3, GCSE, A-level and degree-level.)

Many of my students have gone on to excel since I began tutoring them, many of them exceeding their predicted grades considerably. For the last two years, more than five individuals have exceeded their predicted grades by a margin of three grades higher or more.

As a high-achieving person with a passion for the subjects I teach, I enjoy working with my students to increase their skills and confidence, in order for them to fully realise their potential. I have a highly personalised approach, and tailor to different abilities and backgrounds. I seek to offer value for money for every student and therefore charge an affordable hourly rate.

I offer some flexibility (depending on availability) and I tutor in both my local area of Enfield and Central London, where I work daily. I offer slots mainly on weekends.

I tutor in public places, which are well-equipped and offer an excellent study spaces. Libraries also tend to focus a student`s mindset on work, allowing us to get the most productivity out of a tutoring session. Unfortunately, time constraints and a busy schedule prevent me from travelling between students.

Experience: 5 years+ experience as a private tutor for (11+/GCSE/A-level/BA/MA). Many of my students have gone on to exceed their predicted grades and perform very well at subsequent stages of education, following my tuition.

I began tutoring Year 7s with reading on mornings before school when I was in the sixth form. (Including this experience, I have been tutoring for 9 years.
