Information about Sharon
I have 35 years experience in teaching A level, GCSE and KS3 Maths. I have excellent subject knowledge and I have taught Edexcel and AQA exam boards.
I have an excellent track record of improving student confidence and grades.
I have recently retired as Head of Maths in a successful sixth form college.
Since retiring, I have taught online lessons to students of all abilities across the country.
All the students I have taught this year were successful in their GCSE exam taken in the summer and improved by one or more grades.
Availability: Daytime and evening Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday online lessons only.
Lessons in person if in the local area.

I’m so glad I found Sharon on this site. She is exactly what I was looking for - warm, patient and professional. My son really enjoys his weekly lesson with her and her maths expertise has increased his love of the subject. She has helped him achieve better marks and is more confident in class lessons. We’ve come to the end of our journey but if needed again Sharon would be my first choice.

Sharon has been outstanding, my daughter is sitting her final maths exam today and pass or fail Sharon has been great for my daughter`s confidence when it comes to Maths. Definitely recommend.

Sharon is an excellent tutor. We didn`t engage her until March, so there were only a couple of months remaining before our daughter`s GCSE exams. However, in that short time, Sharon was able to help our daughter understand topic areas that she hadn`t been able to master at school. She also assisted greatly with general revision which helped to build our daughter`s confidence ahead of the exams. We loved that Sharon requested a pre-meet with parent and child before the tuition commenced, to fully understand areas to focus on, predicted grade, grade expectation etc. Tailored lessons were meticulously planned. The worked examples/worksheets were shared after each lesson to aid independent revision. She offered `booster` lessons in the holidays and went above and beyond in helping with homework in her own time. Communication was superb throughout. Sharon clearly cares about the students, sending messages of good luck and taking interest in their feedback after each exam. Our daughter was thrilled with the Grade 6 she achieved, especially as it was closer to a 7 than a 5! Amanda & Peter
