I am an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly self-motivated individual who is honest, reliable and friendly. I have a real passion for helping others and believe this is why I have been drawn to teaching and tutoring, especially EFL as I know how important this is for international learners.

I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2017 with a 1st Class Honors degree in English, and in March 2019 I completed my TEFL certification in Madrid, Spain. I have experience teaching children, teenagers and adults and I also have a full DBS check. The four-week intensive TEFL course taught me so much, from grammar and lesson planning to communication and personal skills.

With 6 teaching practices under my belt from my course, ranging from group to 1 - 1 sessions, I then went on to teach at the outdoor activity centre PGL for the summer, where they also run EFL classes for international students. The focus here was to give the kids (aged between 7 to 16) an authentic exposure to the English language in a fun yet constructive way.

I believe my teaching style is friendly and encouraging, helping learning feel comfortable and that it’s okay to make mistakes! If you’re making mistakes you’re learning and that’s all part of the journey.
