I am a fully qualified teacher of English with 5 years experience. I have a specialism in SEN and have experience working as the Special Educational Needs Coordinator- giving me an excellent insight into strategies for effectively teaching students of all needs and abilities. Additionally, I am an experienced tutor of both English Literature and Language, having taught both the new edexcel and AQA exam specifications. I was also an examiner for AQA for the June 2017 and June 2018 series of GCSE English exams. I attended a Russell Group university for my undergraduate studies and achieved a PGCE with an outstanding/ distinction grade.

I am supportive, flexible and engaging in my approach to tutoring. Individual students` needs are taken into careful consideration when planning for both short-term and long-term support. I employ a range of assessment for learning strategies to ensure students are making measurable progress every session whilst maintaining a focus on fostering a love of learning and nurturing my students` confidence in the subject.
