I have just finished my A- levels this year at Tiffin Girls School, completing English with an A* a level prediction.
English has been an area of passion for me since a very young age, and as I have grown my analytical skills and ability to write essays has too grown exponentially with my age. I have spent the last two years tutoring fellow students in Year 11 with their 9-1 GCSE English work as well as mentoring those in my A- level English class in order to help them achieve A*s. With my extensive notes and ability to address their needs, they have been able to perform well on assessments throughout the year, achieving As and A*s on key assessments as well as their final results day.
For A-Levels I will specifically be able to teach those who take the OCR, Edexcel or Aqa English board, and the texts I specialise in are: Hamlet, A Dolls House, Paradise lost, Great Gatsby and Grapes of Wrath ( as well as the American Literature unseen extract). However I will be willing to teach other texts!
I will be providing notes on key themes, quotes, extracts, symbolism, context and alternative interpretations- as well going through each aspect of the essay writing process in detail, making everything as simple as possible for the student to understand.

Availability: Available any day throughout the week, during mornings and evenings

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have tutored GCSE students in my sixth form, who have gone on to receive 8s and 9s in their final exam.
I have also been a mentor and tutor for students in my A level year, as well as AS level, and those students have gone on to perform well consistently throughout the year, receiving predominantly As and A*s with the help of my extensive and detailed notes.
