History and Politics graduate at the University of York. Achieved a 1st. Experienced in teaching, providing one-on-one support to students aged 11-25, encouraging independent thinking, analysis and application of difficult religious texts, running a small tutor group at a youth camp (Oasis), aged 11-17, aiming to increase engagement with the subject material and facilitate group discussion, and teaching at Sunday School at St Michael the Belfry for 2-5 year olds. Furthermore, currently works as a teaching assistant in York, working with children with special needs and learning difficulties. Previously worked at the York Army Museum, creating fun resources and activities for children to learn about British military history from 1685 to the present day, specialising in First and Second World Wars. Have a qualification in cover supervision in schools from Principal Resourcing.

Academically strong: First Class honours at university undergraduate level, 3As at A level in History, Economics and Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Studies), 11A*s at GCSE, received various academic prizes including a History Scholarship, winning a school wide History and Politics essay competition and winning academic prizes every year at Solihull School, including in History, Economics, Divinity and English. As a teacher, I create a fun and engaging learning environment, maintaining patience and a supportive attitude while working through areas of difficulty and stretching in areas of ability. Other accomplishments and interests include: -
- Given a York Award, which is awarded to recognise contributions to university life, in the form of leadership within societies.
- Treasurer of the York Swing Dance Society, which had over 100 members, and founded the Jane Austen Society, and the Musical Appreciation Society, which aims to make musicals accessible to students of all backgrounds and incomes.
