Academically strong: First Class honours at university undergraduate level, 3As at A level in History, Economics and Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Studies), 11A*s at GCSE, received various academic prizes including a History Scholarship, winning a school wide History and Politics essay competition and winning academic prizes every year at Solihull School, including in History, Economics, Divinity and English. As a teacher, I create a fun and engaging learning environment, maintaining patience and a supportive attitude while working through areas of difficulty and stretching in areas of ability. Other accomplishments and interests include: -
- Given a York Award, which is awarded to recognise contributions to university life, in the form of leadership within societies.
- Treasurer of the York Swing Dance Society, which had over 100 members, and founded the Jane Austen Society, and the Musical Appreciation Society, which aims to make musicals accessible to students of all backgrounds and incomes.
