Jane

My name is Jane and offer German, Spanish and French. I currently work part-time as a teacher, university tutor, examiner and translator. I am a published author - I co-wrote the contents of the `Boardworks` software `German Grammar Toolkit, which was published recently. I have also done consultancy work for Sam Learning and Collins. I appreciate the difficulties many students face in learning a foreign language, having begun learning Spanish myself a few years ago. I have a lot of patience - no question is too silly to be answered and I want my students to feel comfortable in their lessons and learn the skills they need to be confident in learning a foreign language. The exam system in England is undergoing rapid change and language students will need to create language in their exams. This comes when you have a good grasp of the grammatical systems and understand how the language works. I can help you become that person.

Availability: I have times during various days, evenings and can also offer some times at the weekends.

Experience: I have taught for nearly 30 years (13 as a Head of Dept). I teach German to all levels and exams, French and Spanish to GCSE. I have a lot of experience with different examination boards at GCSE and A level ( I am an examiner for 2 boards and an NVQ assessor for Business German and French) and have conducted hundreds of speaking tests at GCSE and A level. I have taught students from Key Stage 2 to adults and of a wide range of abilities.
