I’m a sociology student at the University of Glasgow, where I live during term time. I’m from London, and am passionate about educating children. This summer I have spent two months working with displaced children in Calais, educating and providing play sessions with them giving me a wealth of experience with children from all backgrounds.

Availability: 0900-1900, 7 days a week from 1st of August until the 8th of September.

Experience: The summer of 2018 I worked at Oxford International Summer School where I was ana activity leader for 11-17 year olds and an English Foreign Language teacher for a class of 16 year olds. I have also volunteered at a nursery in Glasgow for the children of refugees, where I worked with children from the age of 0-5. Over the last two months I have worked in Calais and Dunkirk, teaching and providing play sessions for 0-14 year olds in the refugee camps. This means I have experienced with traumatised children as well as children for whom English is a second language, as well as giving me the skills to provide education to children in more challenging settings than a traditional school environment.
