Information about Yusuf
Former Head of Economics at a grammar school in Berkshire. I have been teaching and tutoring Economics and Business-related subjects for over 15 years, following 10 years working in PR, marketing, and publishing industries.
I have experience of teaching GCSE and A Level Economics and Business courses from the three main exam boards: Edexcel; OCR and AQA, and the CIE course. More recently, I have experience of teaching the reformed Edexcel Economics A and Business A Level qualifications and the reformed Edexcel 9-1 GCSE Business courses.
I have also worked as a tutor for the past fourteen years both face-to-face and online, working with a number of GCSE and A Level students of varying ability studying Edexcel, AQA and OCR Economics and Business courses.
Availability: I am available for tuition in-person (within a 20 mile radius) and online (nationwide and internationally). I am available over Teams, Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, and FaceTime, and am able to work one-to-one, two-on-one, or in small groups for students anywhere in the UK or internationally.
I am available face-to-face and online throughout the week. Some slots do tend to get booked up quicker, so even if you might want tuition later in the academic year, or at exam times, please get in touch early.
I also have some limited availability during some of the school holidays, though priority is given to existing clients. Please contact me to discuss arrangements.
If you live more than five miles from where I live, sessions will be for a minimum of one and a half hours. At A level this could be beneficial in providing time to work on concepts and spend time discussing how it can appear in practice, and in exams. It also help to build concentration too.

Experience: I have experience of teaching GCSE and A Level courses from the three main exam boards: Edexcel; OCR and AQA, with some familiarity of the WJEC/Eduquas, Cambridge Pre-U and International Baccalaureate courses too.
I am actively teaching the reformed Edexcel Economics A and Business A Level qualifications, and the reformed Edexcel 9-1 GCSE Business courses.
I have also worked as a tutor for the past fourteen years, working with a large number of GCSE and A Level students of varying ability, both face-to-face and online. I have also helped retake students to refresh and extend their understanding, and maintain momentum before their exams.

Highly recommend Yusuf for A Level Economics. He is a fantastic teacher, very experienced and knowledgeable on the subject. The lessons were tailored to our daughter’s needs using really life examples to help understand difficult concepts and graphs. Yusuf provided much of his own resources that complemented topics that were lacking from school. Yusuf realised our daughter’s potential, resulting in her feeling very confident sitting her exams.
