Information about Tahmeed
Hi parents and guardians!
I am a GCSE and below tutor for Maths, English, Sciences, Geography & Music - covering years 3 - 11. I also offer services in A-Level Maths, Biology & Chemistry. I attended one of the top grammar schools in the UK - Queen Elizabeth`s School in Barnet; I`m a medical doctor and I graduated from UCL medical school, with an integrated BSc in Global Health.
I have extensive and varied experience (over a decade) in tuition across school and university students and I`m based in Chigwell; I offer lessons in person - at your home, or online!
I`m the author of a university-level textbook series and run a diversity and inclusivity-focused podcast available on all streaming platforms! If you are a parent keen to get friendly, encouraging and dedicated tuition for your child, please reach out! I have an up-to-date DBS certificate and can provide references and qualifications upon request!
Availability: I am very flexible.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring children of all ages in the subjects I studied at GCSE and at A-Levels for over ten years.
Through my secondary school and my associations I have been able to advise others, younger than me, who are applying for medicine, for example by reading their personal statements and giving constructive criticism.
My approach to tutoring is simple. I try to adhere to what is taught in the syllabus of the subjects of the tutees. By testing them on the content of their syllabus, it is then evident whether they need help in these areas or not. If they do, I will do my very best to explain it to them in a way in which they may understand better, I will then test them again on their application of their knowledge and observe whether they still need help and guidance on the respective topic. If they are able to complete questions without hesitation and my guidance, I will move onto the next area they are finding difficulty with.
I was a Near Peer Demonstrator in the field of anatomy and histology, where, as a third year medic, I provide help in the learning and understanding of anatomy laboratory and histology sessions for first and second year medics.
DBS Check: Yes
