I am a fully-qualified science teacher with a first-class honours degree in Applied Biology, a PhD in Microbiology and a PGCE specialising in chemistry. I have also worked as a scientist in industry and had my research published in scientific journals.

Experience: I have an excellent track record in helping pupils fulfil their potential. I have worked as a science teacher and a private tutor, teaching all aspects of science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at Key stage 3 and 4, including the new 9-1 GCSE triple and combined sciences.

I am used to teaching a wide range of abilities, from those who have an aptitude and want to achieve the highest possible grades, to those who find science difficult. I assess all my pupils and deliver high quality teaching material that match the needs of the individual learner, helping pupils gain the confidence and knowledge to be the best they can be.

My lessons include PowerPoint presentations, videos, demonstrations and practical activities to engage and motivate different types of learners. I provide exam-style questions to show how pupils can score maximum marks under exam conditions. Your child will be able to ask questions as we go along and will be completely supported during the 60-minute session.
