Information about Louise
I am a fully-qualified science teacher with a first-class honours degree in Applied Biology, a PhD in Microbiology and a PGCE specialising in chemistry. I have also worked as a scientist in industry and had my research published in scientific journals.
Availability: I usually teach from 4pm weekdays and at weekends. Please contact me to discuss my current availability.

Experience: I have an excellent track record in helping pupils fulfil their potential. I have worked as a science teacher and a private tutor, teaching all aspects of science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at Key stage 3 and 4, including the new 9-1 GCSE triple and combined sciences.
I am used to teaching a wide range of abilities, from those who have an aptitude and want to achieve the highest possible grades, to those who find science difficult. I assess all my pupils and deliver high quality teaching material that match the needs of the individual learner, helping pupils gain the confidence and knowledge to be the best they can be.
My lessons include PowerPoint presentations, videos, demonstrations and practical activities to engage and motivate different types of learners. I provide exam-style questions to show how pupils can score maximum marks under exam conditions. Your child will be able to ask questions as we go along and will be completely supported during the 60-minute session.

My daughter has only had a couple of lessons with Louise so far but has found them so helpful. Lessons are well structured and Louise explains things extremely well. Homework set helps her to practice and ensure she understands the subject they covered in the lesson.

Louise has been teaching GCSE sciences to my twins (son and daughter). She is very knowledgeable, organised and professional and both my kids thoroughly enjoyed her lessons. She explained all the concepts very clearly and was flexible in her teaching, devoting more time to the topics as per the requirement of the kids. Her calm and kind behaviour makes her very approachable and the kids also felt at ease during the lessons. Both the kids improved their confidence and understanding of the subject and felt well prepared for their GCSE exams. We have had a very positive experience and we would highly recommend her.
