Information about Jay

I graduated from the London School of Economic with a 2:1 Law Degree in 2014 and completed my Legal Practice Course with an average mark of 62. I then worked at Thomson Reuters for over a year in financial services before my current role as Legal Compliance Officer for a start up company in the medical field.

I am passionate about the subjects I teach and enjoy seeing others reach their full potential in whatever areas they find difficult or challenging.

Having achieved A*s in History and English for both GCSEs and A levels, I am well placed to guide my students in both understanding the materials in detail and also developing the academic skills necessary to nurture their sense of independence and personal ease with the subjects.

I am very willing to learn any specific subject material and realise that in English and even History, time has to be made to understanding the books and set texts as much as a student taking the course itself. My personal goal is to push my students further than they thought possible, and secure the results they strive towards. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any further information.

Availability: I am currently available to teach at any time during the week from 9-6.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I achieved 10A*s at GCSEs and A*s at A levels in History and English. Moreover, I attained 100% in my A2 exam module marks for both subjects and therefore have reasonable familiarity with the skills necessary to understand the courses.

I am also currently tutoring four students at various levels of KS3 and GCSE English and History, and recently saw one of my students pass his GCSE English and History exams. I am very familiar with the KS3 course by this stage.
