Hi, I am Juveriah. I am French tutor (year 7- GCSE) who is currently studying Linguistics at university. I am passionate about learning and teaching languages in a fun and creative way. I am currently only tutoring online.

As a private tutor, I have been tutoring GCSE French for over a year. Working with students of different ability levels and strengths has given me the opportunity to plan lessons focusing specifically on their individual needs and the way that they learn best. Lessons will normally include covering a topic and completing an activity, ensuring that students have a good understanding. I cover all aspects of the curriculum and especially focus on what the student believes will help them most, building their confidence and ensuring that they make the most out of the sessions.

Experience: Having taught and studied French at GCSE level, I have a good understanding of the curriculum and the exam board.

During my lessons, I focus on the four main areas of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I use both exam board material and other resources to provide a full immersion in the culture and language. These include French news articles, podcasts and stories in my lessons which my students have found useful and enjoyable. As well as this, I include plenty of exam practice through past papers in my lessons to ensure that students are prepared for their exams. As a former French student and current tutor, I give tips based on these experiences.
