Information about James
Looking to increase your confidence and depth of knowledge in English and maths? Need help in the run up to SATS? Look no further. I live in Stratford-Upon-Avon with my wife and 4-year-old girl. I enjoy swimming and going to the gym as well as tinkering with computers and technology!
I strongly believe that education should be fun. In my classroom, I use a range of teaching techniques to fully engage pupils whilst promoting a positive, growth mindset. From my extensive research into Assessment for Learning, I am confident that my teaching style instills a culture of independence, confidence and perseverance whilst equipping pupils with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life, As computing coordinator, I also believe that it is important to use a range of technology to enhance learning whilst providing students with a range of educational experiences.

Experience: I have been a primary teacher for approximately 20 years now, first teaching in London before moving to Stratford-Upon-Avon in 2006. During my teaching career, I have taken on leadership roles for English, mathematics, computing, music and physical education in addition to leading Key Stage 2 and being responsible for the implementation of AfL procedures. I have taught in a range of primary schools in the Warwickshire area, across all of the Key Stage 2 year groups. I currently teach in a Stratford primary school in year 5, meaning that I continue to be well-versed in current SEND and Gifted and Talented approaches and legislation.
