Information about Tim
I am a friendly and professional tutor with over 15 years experience. Although I specialise in A level Biology I also tutor all 3 sciences at GCSE. I approach each student as an individual and adjust to their learning style in order to bring out their full potential and increase their confidence in the subject material. It is often the case that students have good subject knowledge but are let down by a lack of exam technique - time spent with an experienced professional can really make a difference when it comes to expressing yourself under exam conditions (especially at 6th form).
I am a graduate of both Newcastle and the university of Cambridge and I also have a PGCE in secondary science (although the majority of my career has been spent in the pharmaceutical industry). I am both familiar and experienced with the main exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel), I have a large database of past exam questions and for A level students I have spent years compiling my own questions to really stretch and challenge students of all abilities.
Availability: My availability varies from week to week but I always have time to fit in sessions.

Experience: I have over 15 years of tutoring experience along with a PGCE and degrees in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Newcastle and Cambridge respectively. I am more than happy to provide references or put you in touch with the parents of previous students.

My daughter has had a number of sessions with Tim. He will go through the topics she needs help with and is able to explain things clearly so she can get an in-depth understanding of the topic. Her grades in assessments have gone from a D to an A 😊;.
