I`m Jamilla! I will be studying Biochemistry next year but I have enjoyed working at a tuition center where I was trained to tutor students in Maths and English of different levels in groups of 6. I have a huge passion for sharing knowledge. I have mentored 3 students in maths who were able to improve from a 4 to an 8.

Having recently finalizing year 13, I wish to help GSCE students have a smoother transition from GSCE to A-Level. I have predicted grades A*A*A in maths, biology, and chemistry A levels. I wish to help students to gain confidence as I did during the GSCE time period. I have. achieved grades 7-9 in my GSCES and obtained 9 in maths and A* in biology and chemistry. Being a student myself I feel as though I can relate to my tutee and establish a strong work ethic.

I enjoy teaching using retrieval methods rather than purely knowing facts. I recognize this as a skill to be more useful in future studies than pure memorization. However, I will be able to adapt to any method the student may prefer. I am a strong believer that the key to the grades you want to achieve are questions, questions, questions!

I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible and welcome any suggestions or resources the student may have. I am easy to reach, will always ensure fast responses, and give consistent support

Experience: I have previously worked for a tuition company, where I taught ages 4-14 and held 11+ workshops. I also currently tutor students in chemistry A level and tutored maths GSCE to students in 2018. I got 7 As at GSCE and 3 As. A* in biology a level and an A in chemistry A level
