I am a friendly and passionate English tutor with 5 years of teaching experience. I have taught levels from beginners through to advanced level students and can help with any of the Cambridge exams: IELTS, FCE, CAE or CPE.

I am friendly and approachable and a creative individual with a passion for the environment. I always try to bring topical subjects into the classroom and keep the students entertained through a variety of mediums, techniques and topics.

Whether you are studying for an exam and need extra help with techniques, time management or vocabulary and grammar, I can help you to achieve your dream grade. Or if you are just looking for some extra help with general English, speaking, listening or fluency, I can help to boost your confidence and improve your speaking style.

English has always been a passion of mine and my qualifications and personal life revolves around utilising the language to it`s full potential. My time in Taiwan teaching was extremely rewarding and enabled me to use my natural teaching skills to a wide range of pupils from different ages.

When I start with a new student, I always assess the student to find out their strengths and weaknesses to enable us to focus on key areas of study. I am open to how the student wishes to learn and always put emphasis on individuality with their work.

Availability: I can be flexible with your schedule, morning or afternoon is best for me, but would be open to evening classes also.

Experience: I have 5 years of English Language teaching. I started in Taiwan where I taught a variety of levels, styles and curriculums. from kindergarten through Primary and to secondary school children. This involved much language and comprehension learning.

For a period of several months I was also involved in a university programme. This was fun and demanding, however I got to utilise my creative nature and use my advanced English knowledge to higher level learners.

During my time teaching English in Edinburgh, I have had the chance to learn about how lots of different nationalities learn and the difficulties that come with each mother tongue. I have taught people from all around the world and love to hear stories about their adventures.

Whether it`s pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar or just confidence that you are lacking, I can give you that boost to help you succeed.
