Information about Leonora
I love Economics and Business, and much prefer tutoring on a 121 basis. I am an experienced Economics and Business Tutor/teacher with a proven track record in attaining high grades at GCE with both AQA and Edexcel. I come from a background in teaching A level in the Wiltshire secondary schools of St Augustine`s and St Laurence. Then for two years at Bayhouse School in Gosport - which had outstanding A level results at the time.
I have been a long standing Examiner for both the Economics and Business A level. Being an examiner has given me a really good insight into what the exam boards are looking for in a student answer. I also do work for a local educational publisher as a reviewer of Economics and Business materials.
Presently, I can set up guided study for the week, as well as marking.
I only tutor on-line - much better for the enviornment and this offers the flexibility of timing for tutorials.
Availability: Currently running Zoom sessions. Flexible to you but no more than 60 mins long. I have two spaces available for Sept 2022 start at the moment.

Experience: In teaching from 1989. Have taught FE, HE and in secondary schools. Examiner & Team Leader for Economics and Business A level for several years. Have a good understanding of challenges that can be faced by students both mentally and physically. Ran the Model United Nations at St Augustine`s. Tutored students from Bath private schools. Currently back in school teaching 6th form.

We found an amazing tutor through Tutor Hunt. Leonora has been tutoring our 17 year old son for the last 4/5 months and has made a fantastic difference, not only to his Business Studies knowledge but also to exam techniques and revision for his other A level`s. Oliver gets on brilliantly with Leonora and looks forward to his sessions with her. My son is at Bath University studying Chemistry, however one of his first modules was an Economics one, which he had never studied before. Leonora met up with him a couple of times to give him some guidance which was an enormous help to him as he was finding it difficult. He achieved a fantastic result of 84% following this and I am sure that Leonora`s help was of great assistance to him!
