I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual who always strives the best in everyone I meet. Optimistic and determined, I have yet to meet a single person who is completely unable to successfully learn or improve in a foreign language.

I have been learning German for over 14 years, gaining qualifications up to a Master`s level in German (specialising in translation and the written word), and I have lived in Germany as an English teacher for just over a year and a half.

I have translated German cookbooks and songs, and worked as a secondary German teacher in both comprehensive and grammar schools.

I firmly believe that the key to learning a foreign language is through matching it with your personal hobbies/interests, and working upwards from there - in my experience, this approach to teaching has yielded the best results, and fostered the greatest levels of enjoyment and interest in my students.

Experience: I have experience teaching German from absolute beginner`s through to University level German gained from working as a teacher in both a comprehensive school, and two grammar schools; and from tutoring undergraduates at university.

I have worked with both children and adults, both in the UK and in Germany.
