I have a BA Honours degree in IT and Education; and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, University College of London. I am a Qualified Teacher (QTS). I have worked for the past twelve years as a classroom teacher in various mainstream secondary schools in London. I am the Head of Faculty. I know how to help students get good results for their GCSE and A level exams.

I also specialise in helping student in Maths - from key stage 2 to key stage 4. My aim is to make student confident in doing maths; I do this at a pace suitable to the students ability - so they understand how to do the maths. To find out why a student does not understand - is the key to helping and building on their knowledge and skills. I enjoy maths and am really pleased when I help student to feel that they can do the maths.

I teach python programming ensuring pupils understand the basic, so they can build their programming skills steadily and confidently.

I am currently offering private tuition to help students who need one to one support to achieve the top grades. I like to make the learning fun and accessible for the student by supporting and encouraging them as they strive to have academic success.

Availability: I am available after school from 5 pm to 8pm Monday - Friday from the beginning of the academic year. Also Saturday`s 9am - 1 pm.

Experience: My experience is broad and thorough. I currently work with key stage 3, 4 and 5 students. I teach computer science, maths, and business studies. I also provide coaching for struggling students and mentor students who need support for exam anxiety or may have low confidence.

I have a sound working experience of the examination boards – Edexcel, OCR and AQA etc. this has reinforced my knowledge and given me a breadth of wisdom for perfecting examination techniques. I am also an exam marker, so I know what examiners are looking for. I think it is important to prepare students with the necessary examination techniques whilst they acquire the subject content and in this way support them to success.

Teaching is my passion. I help students to learn by developing a good working relationship that helps them to learn in a pleasant, encouraging but focused learning environment. I strive to teach beyond the curriculum, which in turn accelerates pupils` learning. I help students to be organised in and out of the lesson so that they can get the best out of their time in the lesson. Additionally, I use a mixture of resources in my lessons. For example, I may use whiteboards or anything creative to keep my students engaged and challenged. I also set and mark homework whilst also conducting regular assessments to help the students master the subject and increase their confidence in the subject.

I teach intervention sessions for my students in school and have successfully brought students up from grades 2/3 to 4/5 and 6/7 to 8/9. I have taught mixed ability students for the past twelve years and have successfully helped many students both private and public to achieve above their target grade.
