My name is Rob. I have worked as a private maths tutor for over 15 years and have provided over 11,000 hours of tuition to date. I have a first class honours degree in maths from Cardiff University and a PGCE in secondary maths from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. I have taught maths in school at secondary level and have been the lead maths teacher at a language school teaching maths to students studying an international foundation programme. I am available to tutor students of any level up to A level. I only offer tuition online via Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams.
Availability: I have some spaces available starting in September.

Rob is an excellent teacher who is both knowledgeable and incredibly supportive. He often provides optional work to help reinforce and polish the topics covered in class, which really deepens understanding. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his students’ progress and success. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and encouraging teacher.

I`m an adult learner and so far Rob has been a good tutor. He`s always punctual, straight to the point and gives clear explanations. He also provides useful resources for homework and extra study if you ask. My point for consideration would be, if you require a bit more handholding or a softer touch perhaps you may not be the best match. Robs teaching is faultless, but the style may not be the best for those with high math anxiety or dyscalculia etc. Would recommend as a teach overall.

Great support with last minute preparation for A level further maths mocks. Will definitely be asking for his help again for my son’s A levels next year.
