Tatiana

I am a highly experienced teacher of Portuguese and Spanish language and literature. I offer intermediate to advanced teaching in both languages and tuition for students in literature in both languages. After graduating from the University of São Paulo with a BA in Portuguese and Spanish Language and Literature I did a MA at the Department of Modern Language at the same university. I worked as a visiting researcher at Nacional University of Córdoba in Argentina for one year, then taught as a lecturer at University of São Paulo for four years, and as a teacher of translation of Spanish literature at the Centre for Literary Translation Studies at Casa Guilherme de Almeida. While working in the latter I led a literary and cultural project at the University of São Paulo as part of the Program of Culture which included coordinating, editing and publishing fifteen books by Latin American and European writers. I was heavily involved in local educational initiatives and the provision of professional development opportunities for other teachers and students.
I am passionate about my subject and aim to share my enjoyment of Spanish and Portuguese language and literature with my tutees. Through developing a solid knowledge base, developing a solid grammatical and language knowledge base, and focussed practice, verbal drills and conversation I aim to produce accelerated progress in all my students.

Availability: from Monday to Saturday.

Experience: I have taught at all levels of Spanish and Portuguese at University of São Paulo to undergraduate, which includes 5 years of experience as a lecturer in Universities of Latin American. I have excellent knowledge, and experience, of all major exams of Spanish and Portuguese proficiency as DELE, CELU and EPE – Camões. I have prepared students for their MA in Latin American Universities and taught business Spanish and Portuguese language to professionals in many different fields. In the UK I also have taught students from bilingual families, helping in the development of the second language with engaging, interactive lessons that incorporate their daily routines.
